Tanfor batten SYSTEMS

Tanfor Industries Batten System is a combination of a pre-formed
galvalume coated 0.75 or 1.20 BMT steel cladding rail forming a
rainscreen cavity. The battens connect cladding of nearly any type
back to any substrate for projects of any size, height, shape and type.

The combination of commonly available profiles combined with custom shapes and sizes make this a universal, non-combustible batten solution for NZ’s unique climate, building code and conditions.
These rails can be used as a structural rail, allowing levelling and
anchoring into the substrate followed by cladding attachment into the batten. The batten can also be used as a packer, allowing the cladding fixings to be fixed through into the substrate.

The batten system can also easily accommodate exterior insulation
applications providing reduced thermal bridging. This application is the optimal combination of reduced condensation potential and improved thermal performance.

Can be combined with any combination of cladding panels, weather
resistive barriers, sheathing boards and framing to create a
completely non-combustible rainscreen cladding system.

● 50+ year durability in most NZ climates
● Does not impede ventilation or drainage in cavities
● Holes pre-punched for easy installation
● Custom profiles, closures, and accessories available
● All systems include project specific design and PS1 statement

Developed in 1970’s, galvalume combines zinc and aluminium to offer a coating with twice the corrosion resistance of galvanised coatings.
AZM150 has an exposed durability of 50+ years in most climates
before any visible rust appears. More robust coatings are available for marine environments on request.

These batten will outlast the majority of cladding options on the market, providing long a lasting solution.

Project Specific Design
Tanfor only supplies products for specific projects or systems where we can verify the system details, durability, structural, and
weatherproofing design. Tanfor provides a project specific PS1 for every project, fees for this are included in the material rates.
Changes in thickness, profile, coatings to meet performance requirements may vary the price. Tanfor will happily provide
continuity between the various elements to provide a cohesive single design reference.
